Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons DaVinci Gourmet Apple Classic Syrup Add to Cart
  • 1/2 cup white drinking wine
  • 8 tablespoons fat from drippings
  • 8 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, parsley)
  • strained drippings from pan

Directions

After removing the turkey from the roasting pan, put the pan on the stove burner, add wine and stir until boiling over medium high heat. Loosen all browned pieces. When the smell of alcohol is gone, pour into measuring cup and let the fat rise. Take 8 tablespoons of fat and put in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the flour and minced herbs and keep stirring, cook until light brown. Defat the rest of drippings. Add drippings and syrup through a strainer into a pan and boil until thickened. Taste, if too strong, dilute with chicken broth. Season and serve.
